1. To use VLC Media Player, we will first need to install it on the desired machine. The below link will take you to the download page for the software. It is available for use on Windows (32-Bit and 64-Bit), macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

  2. Once downloaded and installed, you should have a desktop shortcut with an icon of an Orange Cone.

  3. Once you open VLC you should see a list of options at the top of the screen. Click on the Media option. Then choose Open Disc... from the context menu.

  4. After choosing the Open Disc... option you will be prompted with a new window to choose the disc device you want to play. Click the Browse... option to select the disc to use.

  5. When you click the Browse... option you will see a File Explorer window. Click the This PC option on the left-hand side. Once you navigate to the "This PC" location, your disk drive will be listed with a CD/DVD icon for identification. Click the disk drive option, then choose Select Folder

  6. After choosing your disk device, it will populate the name in the "Disc device" textbox. Click the Play option located at the bottom of the window.
