Making a Phone Call (Note: It will no longer be necessary to dial 9 to call an outside number)

1. For local calls and long distance: dial the area code and

number (i.e. 404-555-1212).

2. For international calls: dial 011 + country code + number

(i.e. 011-xx-xxx-xxxxx).

To place a call:

1. Pick up the Handset.

2. Enter the 10-digit valid phone number or 4-digit extension.

3. Press the Call soft-key on your touchscreen or press # (pound). Your call will then be placed.

To answer a call:

1. Pick up the Handset or you can press the Answer button on your touchscreen to activate the speakerphone.

To answer an incoming call when you’re already on an active call:

1. Press the Answer button. The incoming call is answered, and the original call is placed on hold.

Transferring a Call (Attended / Warm Transfer - Talk to the person before transferring the call to them)

1. While on a call, press the “Transfer” soft key located at the bottom of your touchscreen. Or, press the Transfer button (on the bottom right of the phone). 

2. Dial the desired extension. Or, press More to access your phone's BLF's and choose a BLF. 

3. Press the # (pound) button (or wait a few seconds) and when the other person picks up, announce the call.

4. When you are ready to complete the transfer, press the Transfer soft key again (or the Transfer button at the bottom right of your phone) and the call will be transferred.

Transferring a Call (Blind / Unannounced / Cold Transfer - When you transfer a call to someone else without announcing the call first, just send it straight through)

1. During a call, press the Transfer soft key located at the bottom of your touchscreen. Or, press the Transfer button (on the bottom right of the phone).

2. Dial the desired extension. Or, press More to access your phone's BLF's and choose a BLF. 

3. Press the Transfer button or soft key again to complete your transfer.

**Please Note: When performing a consulted transfer, the caller ID of the transfer recipient will show your contact information, as you will be announcing the call first. If you prefer to transfer the caller ID as well, you should perform a blind transfer.

Transfer a Call Straight to Someone's Voicemail

A direct-to-voicemail transfer is performed when you wish to transfer a call directly to another user’s voicemail. 

To conduct a direct-to-voicemail transfer, while on an active call:

1. Press the Transfer soft-key.

2. Enter Star, Star, followed by the user’s extension and # (pound).

3. Press Transfer again. This will complete the transfer to voicemail.

Please Note: If your default transfer method is consulted transfer, you will need to perform a blind transfer to use the direct-to-voicemail option.
